Our Academics
Pre K 4 Follows the ADW Learning Standards in all subject areas including Religion, math, language, social studies, science, music, and motor development. We strive to provide various means of teaching for all different types of learners and to help build a strong foundation for our early learners.
Literacy
PreK 4 students will develop a love for language while using literature to develop early reading skills such as rhyming, letter recognition, phonemic awareness in beginning sounds, ending sounds, and letter sounds, basic sight word awareness, and the ability to listen to a story and retell it or act it out.
Science
Writing
PreK 4 writing curriculum follows the ADW standards for kindergarten preparedness. Students will demonstrate through activities the skills needed for various drawing and muscle strengthening excercises to enhance their ability to produce an outcome that will represent letters, numbers, shapes, or pictures representations.
Geography
Mathematics
Prek 4 students will be exposed to number sense standards that will build their knowledge and basis for future mathematical skills. Students will learn to produce patterns, sort, extend patterns, produce number formations, simple addition facts, estimation, simple subtraction, number sets by tens, and many more skills required by the ADW standards.
Physical Education
PreK 4 has Physical Education class once a week with our PE Teacher Mrs. Betsy Cusic.
